More about Hiram Green
Hiram Green fragrances are handmade exclusively from natural materials. Since 2013, Canadian-born Hiram Green has been creating handmade perfumes from the finest natural ingredients. His perfumes challenge the often-heard criticism that natural perfumery is boring, fleeting and has a weaker sillage than traditional perfumery. Hiram's perfumes are best described as intense, opulent and expressive. This is partly due to the precious and sometimes extremely expensive natural ingredients he sources from all over the world. The bold colours of the perfumes come from the ingredients they contain and give the bottles their jewel-like appearance.
The initial inspiration for a perfume can come from anything: music, art, travel. The abstract idea is then slowly translated into something tangible with special care and precision. It is not unusual for Hiram to need hundreds of attempts over several years before he settles on the final formula. The perfumes have been highly praised by experts and enthusiasts alike. In 2019, the leather fragrance Hyde won the Art & Olfaction Artisan Award. This prize honours excellent, independent and experimental perfumery.
All perfumes are 100% natural, vegan (with the exception of beeswax in Slowdive) and free from genetically modified organisms. Nothing is tested on animals. Everything is developed and produced in small batches in Hiram's studio in Gouda, the Netherlands.
