More about Masakï Matsushïma
Masakï Matsushïma is undoubtedly considered a major player in the world of fashion, whether in New York, Paris or Tokyo. He was born in Nagoya, Japan, in 1963 and attended fashion school. He then worked as a chief designer, among other things, before finally founding the company Masakï Matsushïma Int. in 1992 and presenting his collection in Tokyo in the same year. By 1994, the time had come to establish a European branch of his company. From the mid-1990s onwards, he thrilled the fashion world with his designs in both Asia and Europe. The starting signal for this success story in Europe was the presentation of his collection in Paris in 1995. His innovative fashion for women and men reflects the meeting of Japanese tradition and modernity, resulting in unique and exciting creations. Celebrities such as Tom Cruise, Björk and Madonna have worn his outfits. His honourable task of designing jersey collections for the athletes at the 2016 Olympic Games in Tokyo is certainly a great honour.
In 2000, Paris-based Masakï Matsushïma expanded his fashion collections with the fragrance ‘Mat’, his own women's perfume. Since then, new creations have appeared regularly, delighting fans with both their bottles and, of course, their scents. They manage to continue his style in a very special way in the language of fragrances.
