More about Marie Jeanne
In order to offer only the best perfume, Marie Jeanne is involved in every step of the manufacturing process, from cultivation to the finished fragrance. Thanks to natural essential oils that are carefully selected, each perfume has its own unique character. The entire production is handmade in limited series in Grasse. Grasse, a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage site since 2018, is the world capital of perfume. It is internationally renowned for its flowers: tuberose, jasmine and centifolia.
Born in Grasse, Georges Maubert has been immersed in the world of perfume since childhood and knows the path from flower to fragrance composition. He is the fifth generation of the Robertet company, the world leader in natural raw materials. Since 1850, his family has been involved in the perfume industry as farmers, chemists, perfumers and procurement experts. He has acquired and developed this handed-down knowledge to offer you the most beautiful fragrances.
In 2014, he founded Marie Jeanne with a first collection of scented candles. He gradually developed his line and launched his first colognes in 2018 and his first eaux de parfum the following year.
In order to offer new formulas, he regularly visits various growing regions, perfume factories and raw material production sites. Georges travels to Morocco for neroli, New Caledonia for sandalwood, Madagascar for vanilla and Turkey for iris. He is often in Grasse to harvest local flowers: Rosa centifolia, jasmine, mimosa... they continue to inspire him.
