Au Pied du Rosier evokes the joy of acquiring a long-desired pair of sneakers. This fragrance presents a powerful olfactory universe, based around a new sneaker accord associated with Centifolia rose. Vivid notes of mandarin and saffron contrast with oud wood in the base, creating a profoundly modern base. Its diffusion and long-lasting hold on the skin ensure an olfactory experience that lasts throughout the day. A dynamic, unexpected experience.
“The original idea was very clear: to recreate the smell of a sneaker and a rose. I love this type of challenge, which calls for the greatest possible creativity, as this subject had never been dealt with be fore. The next step was to find the right balance between the smell of a new sneaker and its rubber sole, on the one hand, and that of a warm, honeyed rose, on the other. To bring dynamism to the note and evoke the world of sports, I used mandarin, which I consider to be one of the most nervous citrus fruits. We wanted a very powerful base. Oud and patchouli woods are adorned with sandalwood, labdanum balsam, smoke and amber notes.” — Karine Vinchon
Mandarin: Classified within the citrus family, this essence stands out for its sparkling freshness and distinctive fruity note. Mandarin brings a light and radiant touch, often used in the top notes of perfumes to immediately capture attention and energize the overall fragrance composition.
Accord New Basket: The new sneaker accord is a blend of raw materials that smell of rubber, plastic and marker, some of which have orange blossom facets like yara yara and almond facets like acetophenone. This olfactory accord precisely captures the singular sensation of opening a box of new shoes.
Rose Centifolia: Also known as Rose de Mai, this emblematic perfume flower is still harvested in Grasse on typical plots: a rare production. The resulting absolute is characterized by notes of freshly cut flowers, honey and spices.
