More about Dusita
Dusita – in the region of ancient Siam, the word Dusita stands for pure joy and contentment. A paradise of sublime inner happiness ...
A unique fragrance inspiration
The rich perfume collection was created by Pissara Umavijani. The range pays homage to the work of her father, the internationally renowned poet Montri Umavijani. His search for the joy and contentment of paradise inspired her, and so the fragrances of Dusita were created to evoke a land of happiness. The passion for fine fragrances was ignited at Parfums Dusita with a love for traditional French haute parfumerie and its style. At Dusita, these are combined with the extremely familiar aromas of fragrance oils, powders and resins from the Siamese tradition. Countless generations have used them in ceremonies, both religious and cultural, jasmine, sage, rose, benzoin resin, beeswax, bergamot, sandalwood and many more – beautiful and natural fragrances.
Dusita's founder and perfumer says: ’Our goal is to create great fragrances that cannot be imitated. Perfumes that are the result of extensive research. Traditional French sophistication with Siamese elegance.’
The founder and perfumer
Pissara Umavijani, nicknamed Ploi, grew up in Thailand in a house full of books and poetry. As a young artist with a passion for fragrances, she created her own perfumes. Ploi blended rare, precious essences and dreamed of opening her own ‘maison de parfum’. In 2011, Ploi moved to Paris, bringing her creations and her dream with her. She collaborated with a leading fragrance house in Grasse to refine and finally produce her first exclusive fragrance collection. And so her dream came true: the Maison Haute Parfumerie, Parfums Dusita Paris.
