If you know Zarkoperfume, you can already guess that Oud'Ish is not an oriental oud fragrance, but an ‘Oud'Ish’, i.e. an ‘oudy’ interpretation of the theme.
As was almost to be expected, Oud'Ish is Nordic and molecular. We know Oud, the precious resin that is so exclusive that it is traded more expensively than gold. It is produced when the eaglewood tree is attacked by specific fungal spores and reacts with resin. The dark resin smells wonderfully complex and has balsamic and sweet notes, spicy to medicinal nuances and is also smoky and earthy. It is a highly valued ingredient in many oriental perfumes. This makes the Nordic interpretation as a molecular fragrance all the more exciting.
Perfumer Zarko Ahlmann Pavlov was inspired to create Oud'Ish by an experience in nature. He was standing on the beach and perceived the wind being carried from the land to the sea. It was full of aromas that he had absorbed from the forest. Scents of the forest floor that now mingled with the salty notes of the sea.
This hint of damp earth is Zarko's oud, which blends with delicate notes of green tea. Mysteriously sparkling ambergris and soft musk permeate the composition. Coast, forest, beach and sea, rough wind and warm notes. A piece of the Scandinavian coast in the most modern fragrance language.
