MOLéCULE No.8 by Zarkoperfume bears the subtitle ‘wooden chips’ and not without reason. Perfumer Zarko Ahlmann Pavlov revived an old method of perfumery and allowed the fragrance to mature in a wooden container. To do this, he temporarily placed the ‘wooden chips’ - i.e. wood shavings - from the famous eagle wood in the liquid. This unusual process results in this special fragrance.
According to Zarko Ahlmann Pavlov, the inspiration for MOLéCULE No.8 was the seemingly eternal night in the Arctic Circle. The result is a composition full of contrasts of light and dark elements. A play of light and shadow - molecular and woody - that conjures up the hope of a new morning after a long night.
A tangerine-scented prelude is followed by a lively and fruity scent of a noble Turkish rose, the queen of all flowers. The spice already contained in the rose is enhanced by patchouli and black eaglewood. Of course, none of this should be imagined as a classic fragrance pyramid. Zarko has constructed this vision from molecules in the inimitable transparent character of molecules. No oud rose as we know it from oriental compositions. No sharp, leathery or medicinal notes, but a soft, creamy, subtle and feather-light creation. A moment of clarity, the essence of innocence and beauty.
