The Different Company - Love is coming...Chapter II
I am born from stories of love, missing souls and renewed vows. I am inspired by the work of nature, the unexpected associations of aromas and the guilty pleasure of fruits, flowers and vegetables ripened under the sun. I am a tingling and deep scent. Love is coming… Chapter II, write yours.
The fragrance
Love is coming is inspired by a lush garden, populated with aromatics, flowers, and fruits and vegetables ripened under the sun. The fragrance revolves around vibrant blackcurrant, revealing juicy, green and crunchy facets of tomato leaf. The tangy notes then blossom into a floral heart with aromatic nuances, before giving way to a delicately woody and comforting trail.
The perfumer
Mathieu Nardin was raised in a family of perfumers, which quickly developed his creativity and sense of smell. He shares that his earliest olfactory memories are of fresh and captivating jasmine in the early morning light of summer days. His grandparents often took him to pick flowers when he was a child. He enjoyed wandering through the rose fields, and thus developed a deep respect for the finest raw materials. Mathieu Nardin's first professional experience in a perfumery dates back to when he was 13, when he completed an internship at Robertet. After obtaining a bachelor's degree in chemistry, he joined the most prestigious perfumery school in the world: ISIPCA in Versailles.
Mathieu Nardin is a perfumer who enjoys exploring multiple worlds. For him, the nose is closely connected to memories and images. Mathieu Nardin admits that he really loves incense and labdanum, two raw materials that are both rich and complex. He constantly works on several projects at once and often likes to set a perfume aside to revisit it later, after having gained some perspective.

Mehr über The Different Company
The Different Company set itself extremely high goals when it was founded in 2000. The aim was to be different and to cultivate this difference in the long term. Incidentally, the company was founded by none other than perfume legend Jean-Claude Ellena. However, when he became in-house perfumer at Hermès in 2004, his daughter Céline Ellena took the lead, promisingly following in her father's footsteps and now managing the company. The renowned designer Thierry de Bachmakoff is responsible for the external appearance of the fragrances.
When it comes to creating its fragrances, The Different Company avoids any discussion of synthetic fragrances. Its creations use only natural ingredients, and these are used in concentrations unusually high for the industry. Natural ingredients react differently on every skin type, so gender-specific classification has also been omitted. The traditionally fixed concentrations of eau de parfum or eau de toilette have also been abandoned, with the focus on the perfumer's basic idea and, above all, on the quality of the ingredients. The concentration varies between 4% and 12% depending on the fragrance.
The Different Company clearly bears the signature of Jean-Claude Ellena, a signature whose undertone is often described as bright and transparent. We take our hats off to The Different Company and believe that it does its founder proud and has charted a path where you can always rely on the master class of fragrances.
