What does silver smell like? The metal is a strong reflector of light, and so is the fragrance Silver by Saskia Diez and Geza Schön: bright, cool, sharp. Fresh with bergamot and lemon in the top notes, yet sensual and beguiling with coriander, cardamom, ginger and lily; lightly floating above are vetiver, cedar and a hint of musk.

Mehr über Saskia Diez
Design meets fashion meets beauty: for renowned jewellery designer Saskia Diez, the precious metals gold and silver have a very special meaning. Together with perfume artist Geza Schön, she has given these otherwise odourless metals an olfactory appeal: Gold is a warm, sweet fragrance, while Silver emphasises the cool exterior of the shimmering metal.
Gold and Silver are the first two fragrances by Saskia Diez, created in collaboration with perfume artist Geza Schön. The challenge was to give the precious metals gold and silver, which are closely associated with the work of jewellery designers, an olfactory expression. ‘It was clear that this would always be an associative game and not an attempt in the strict sense, because neither silver nor gold smell of anything,’ says Saskia Diez about the development process. However, Diez and Schön have succeeded in giving both metals an olfactory profile with Gold and Silver, thus creating two invisible pieces of jewellery. The bottles, decorated with a gold or silver chain, provide the perfect visual setting for these two olfactory treasures.
Saskia Diez was born in Kranenburg in 1976. After completing a goldsmithing apprenticeship, she studied industrial design at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich. She then worked as a designer for renowned companies and designers such as Rosenthal, Christian Haas and Konstantin Grcic before opening her own studio in Munich's Glockenbach district in 2007. Her minimalist designs reveal influences from art, fashion and industrial design. They captivate with their clarity and intelligent simplicity, playing with tradition and modernity and reflecting the spirit of the times without being trendy. They consciously question the principles behind the creation of traditional jewellery. Despite her serious, reflective approach, her designs never lack poetry.
Her work has been exhibited in Germany, France and Japan. Saskia Diez lives with her husband and three children in Munich.
