This new challenge was inspired by the legend of the great racing driver Nuvolari. By recreating the smell of the racetrack and the engines, we allow perfume lovers to discover the legend of the ‘Mantovano Volante’ (‘Flying Mantuan’).
Germany, the legendary Nürburgring race track, 28 July 1935. A 22-kilometre race track under a leaden sky, with wind and rain threatening to disrupt the race. A deafening noise breaks the silence as a red racing car speeds past us through the octane-filled air. It is Nuvolari driving by.
Nuvolari is a hymn to the madness of a racing driver who challenges death and writes stories of unpredictable and astonishing victories that make him a modern hero of the racing world, race after race. His elegant, courageous and sometimes extreme personality is expressed through precious neroli, black pepper and vetiver. Rum, Bulgarian rose and oud from Laos take us to the heart of the race, to the scents of the Grand Prix.
‘No one else could combine such a high sensitivity for the car with almost superhuman courage.’ – Enzo Ferrari.
The Rubini case becomes a narrative preview, telling the story of the fragrance through colour and tactile sensations. Glebanite reinterprets the feeling of asphalt, of screeching tyres eating up miles and miles and winning championship titles, a material packaging that transports us to a race track.
A blend of racing scents, the racetrack, metallic impressions, elements such as rain and wind, asphalt, rubber and everything that tells the story of a Grand Prix, through perfectly studied and calibrated connections.
