Pierre Guillaume - Itabaïa No.29
Name Invented by the perfumer, of an undetermined kind. An elegant and mysterious word, it impresses with exotic sounds evoking Brazil, dance, a divinity… Inspiration for this new opus, inaugurating of the theme 29 “Hesperimental” Pierre Guillaume was inspired by the strength and energy associated with Capoeira, this Afro-Brazilian art combining dance and wrestling. On the Brazilian beach of Itacaré, dance warriors perform an acrobatic and solar ballet to the rhythm of berimbau and feverish songs, dazzling the spectator with power, grace, and harmony. Technique Like the sand dispersed in the wind by the acrobatic movements of the Capoeira dancers at sunset, Itabaïa is a “hesperidic heat wave” coloured with vanilla and hemp. Its floral-fruity heart releases the green powdery scrolls of Jurema Flower tinged with a hint of Maracuja.
Le Casting
Citrus fruits galore: bergamot, lemon and grapefruit enhanced by an original note of pineapple leaves. The maracuja, also called grenadilla or passion fruit, belongs to the large family of passifloraceae, native to the tropical regions of South America. The Jurema flower or Mimosa tenuiflora from Central America has a green, honeyed, powdery scent with herbaceous, balsamic and resinous facets typical of Hemp. Hibiscus wood, Hemp, Vanilla an accord featuring the warm, musky amber facets of hibiscus seed combined with elegant woody notes, and a chypre je-ne sais-quoi created by an accord of hemp and vanilla.
Itabaïa renews the “hesperidic” genre in our collection. This “Hesperidic Heat”, where the fresh and fruity notes barely conceal the wisps of an illicit spliff, has a neo-chypre air thanks to an accord of hemp and vanilla.
