Theme 17: Tuberose
The inspiration
Tubéreuse Couture 17: a majestic killer. Pierre Guillaume's first fragrance on the theme of tuberose can be seen as an anatomical study of the flower: a surgical dissection of its fundamental olfactory facets, whose formula recounts and admires tuberose from the top note to the base note. It is the star and sole protagonist in its tailor-made script. In this new work, tuberose is skilfully used to tell a story and shares the stage with a young leading lady...
The perfume
A chord of pistachio and tuberose. The complexity of tuberose and its sensual character make it a beauty that is difficult to combine. Either tuberose is drowned out by macho, animalistic leather accords or accompanied by light fragrance notes. Here, jasmine and orange blossom often play ‘diplomatic supporting roles’. In his new creation, Pierre Guillaume has found an alter ego in pistachio that can hold its own with the floral diva. The tart and green notes of pistachio form the connection with tuberose that Pierre was seeking. The tuberose blossoms flow through a bath of musk and almond milk, a delicate allusion to the enfleurage technique.
The name
Dilshad means ‘he who brings happiness’ in Persian and refers to the pistachio from Iran, which was considered a symbol of happiness and love in ancient Persia.
