The journey through the world of Italy's finest and most extraordinary fragrances continues with a famous citrus fruit native to Sicily. We dedicate our wonderful creation to the Sanguinello orange. In perfumery, the essential oil of bitter oranges is more highly prized than that of more common, sweeter varieties. The Sanguinello orange is the exception to the rule due to its exceptionally high quality. Grown on the slopes of Mount Etna, the fruits are characterised by an intense red colour and a complex, aromatic sweetness. They produce an exceptional, outstanding oil. Since 1880, the family-run Capua company has been known as the ultimate producer of citrus essential oils. At Capua, two extraction methods are used to obtain the pure essence of this sweet orange. First, the brownish essential oil is extracted from the peel without coming into contact with the fruit juice. The second extraction method takes place towards the end of the growing season. The whole fruit is placed in a press, where the oil from the peel is mixed with the juice. A special extractor is then used to separate the juice from the slurry. At the end of the process, a centrifuge separates the oil from the juice. After this complex process, the two very different essential oils are blended together in our masterpiece, Perris Monte Carlo Arancia di Sicilia.
A fragrance that combines the energy and naturalness of citrus fruits with an enveloping sweetness. The heart of the fragrance is refined with almonds, vanilla and cinnamon, followed by the base note, which unfolds soft musk and amber and finally the intense aroma of coffee. Arancia di Sicilia celebrates the aromas and scents of Sicily. The fragrance evokes the warm atmosphere of a Sicilian morning, the taste of invigorating orange juice and its delicate sweetness.
The Italian collection from Perris
In the search for exquisite materials around the world, the inspiration for these new products comes from enchanting Italy. The selection of these fragrances represents the highlights of Capua's citrus fruits. Capua, a small town not far from Naples, has been the centre of citrus essential oil production since 1880. Gian Luca Perris, the creative fragrance designer at Perris Monte Carlo, was fascinated by how the latest technologies and traditional methods are combined in oil extraction there. These fragrances are a tribute to Italian citrus fruits, capturing the warmth of the sun's rays and touching the heart. They emphasise the natural character of lemons with hints of cedar, mandarin and bergamot.
