‘Fêtes Persanes’ translates as ‘Persian festivals’ and, like ‘Les Indes Galantes’, was inspired by an opera by the 18th-century French composer Jean-Philippe Rameau.

The perfume is the third act of a long journey along the Silk Road, following ‘Cio Cio San’ and ‘Les Indes Galantes’: from Japan, Asia, Central Asia and Turkey to the coasts of Europe.

Also known as ‘Les Fleurs’, ‘Fêtes Persanes’ is the third act of the ballet opera ‘Les Indes Galantes’, which takes us to the garden of Ali, a confidant of the Persian prince Tacmas, where a lavish flower festival is to be celebrated that evening. Amidst this floral splendour, a story full of hidden jealousy, intrigue and death unfolds when Prince Tacma's slave Zaïre confesses her love to him and Ali reveals his love for Fatime, Prince Tacma's slave. In true Jean-Philippe Rameau style, the story ends happily for the protagonists amid music and dance.
