After offering a sophisticated and modern lily of the valley fragrance with Le Muguet de Rosine, Marie-Hélène and Louis Rogeon wanted to introduce a new soliflor to the collection and decided on magnolia. Although magnolias do not thrive in their garden in Picardy, as it is too far north in France, Marie-Hélène and Louis both have a strong connection to this flower.
Marie-Hélène spent several holidays in Brittany as a child and remembers the huge, strong, dark magnolias that burst with their velvety, creamy flowers in August and even overpowered the scent of the rose bushes. The memory of a sunny scent, synonymous with joy, with the delicacy of roses in the background.
Louis's story is even more unusual. Near the boutique by the Jardin du Palais Royal, in a street called Rue Notre Dame des Victoires, a magnolia tree was planted. And every summer, when you closed your eyes, this part of the city became a garden. Like magic, the scent covered all the other smells of the city.
