Rose Agathe is a surprising fragrance that defies convention.
First and foremost, it is a rose whose metallic and sensual facets are taken to the extreme. Agate, a stone that sounds like a first name in French. When it is pink, it symbolises love and creativity.
Visually, it all seems to fit together. But this contrasting, floral and mineral fragrance surprises with its edgy and contemporary intensity.
The top note reveals a lively and bold metallic accord, underscored by a spicy combination of elemi resin and black pepper. The majestic and exciting heart highlights the absolute of Turkish rose, whose floral facet is enhanced by rose oxide and geranium. The opulent base oscillates between the clear facets of a mineral accord and the darker side of leather, ebony and labdanum.
Carte blanche to perfumer, Marie Schnirer:
“I wanted to work an urban rose, a rose that would grow in the asphalt, in the heart of a city with a hectic pace. If it was a music? Thunder by Catnapp. And if it was a city? It would be Berlin, this metropolis of boundless creativity. And the fabric, a metallic dress.”
