On a trip to the Middle East, Marie-Lise Bischoff, founder and creator of Nejma Perfumes, attended a public reading of an Arabic legend and fell under the spell of the heroine. Nejma, fate or chance, became her muse and inspired her to create the fragrance line.
Nejma is an enchanting and luminous creature of extraordinary beauty. She is kidnapped by pirates and finds herself with other prisoners at a slave market. Nejma is chosen by the vizier for her great beauty, her charming nature and her beguiling natural scent.
This union produces seven daughters, each more magnificent than the last. To honour her and make her immortal, each of them tries to recreate their mother's fragrance. Blends of different spices, all carrying the warm and precious scent of oud, which gives Nejma her oriental magic.
