"Inlé" – osmanthus submerged in a cloud of tea.
The fragrance "Inlé" is named after the eponymous lake in Burma or Myanmar. Known for its unique form of one-legged boat rowing and the floating gardens and villages, the perfumer Aliénor Massenet wanted to create the impression of a fleeting moment at dawn or dusk at dusk: sunlight, the last or first of the day, seems to lie quietly on the lake, a few women embroider using traditional silk, while the men in their almost palatial-looking boats work on the lake which has been the center of life for these people since time immemorial.
With its artless ease, the fragrance captures the moment of this exotic landscape: "Inlé’s" top notes are sparkling and transparent, astringent bergamot, subtle green tarragon and fresh cool mint form a bright chord. Osmanthus oscillates iridescent and peachy-fruity amidst a heart of jasmine and delicate Paraguayan tea notes which are soon captured by a base of soft woody tones, cedar, iris and musk.
"Inlé" is a fragile fragrance – cool, fruity and at the same time gentle. Its unpretentious and memorable style has a thoroughly Asian feel for European noses. A fragrance that creates a yearning for faraway places and contemplative moments.
