‘My formulas are short. I want you to feel the natural beauty of the raw material at the heart of my perfumes. Our mission is in our name: Matière Première is French for raw material.’

The house produces its own roses and tuberoses, which are organically grown in the Grasse region.

‘I am the only perfumer who grows his own raw materials. We have great respect for nature and local expertise.’

angenehm, warmer und würziger Weihrauchduft

Ich mag weihrauchlastige Düfte, aber selten zum Tragen auf mir. Encens suave ist was den Weihrauch angeht unverkennbar, aber auf eine sanftere Weise. Ich mag auch die gut dosierte Süße, viele scheinen eine Kaffeenote herauszuriechen, die mir bislang verborgen blieb. Er besitzt eine deutliche Strahlkraft, daher sollte man ihn vielleicht nicht überdosieren. Obwohl er unisex einzuordnen ist, sehe ich ihn eher in die maskuline Richtung tendieren. Insgesamt ein sehr runder harmonischer Duft, den ich gern trage.
