A patchwork of dark woods from all over the world, Bois d'Ébène is an elegant and long-lasting woody fragrance. Guaiac Wood Paraguay is reinforced by Indonesian Patchouli and Indian Cypriol. Cabreuva Oil from Brazil gives a malty touch, while Juniper berry highlights the spicy fresh woody character.

‘My formulas are short. I want you to feel the natural beauty of the raw material at the heart of my perfumes. Our mission is in our name: Matière Première is French for raw material.’

The house produces its own roses and tuberoses, which are organically grown in the Grasse region.

‘I am the only perfumer who grows his own raw materials. We have great respect for nature and local expertise.’
