Every single element of the furnishings contributes to warmth and comfort. The floor, made of thick old wooden planks, has worn away with time. The coals are still glowing in the large fireplace.
The comfortable couch is made of the best leather, once thick and stiff and immaculately coloured, it is now soft and worn and the colour has faded. A pack of cards lies abandoned on the coffee table. Tobacco leaves from a hand-rolled cigar next to a glass of rum.
