Coconut oil
Just as the flesh of the fresh coconut in your mouth brings back memories of a beach holiday, coconut oil makes your body and hair glow. Throughout the day, this traditional beauty oil from the tropics soothes and nourishes dry skin, leaving it soft and supple. Applied before shampooing, the oil tames frizzy hair and gives it volume and shine. This care oil for face, body and hair unfolds its beneficial effect both when applied directly and when mixed into bath water. Its deliciously creamy fragrance with a delicate hint of vanilla is reminiscent of a sunny day at the beach.
Properties
Ligne St Barth's coconut oil is a non-hydrogenated oil that contains no stabilisers or emulsifiers and solidifies at a temperature below 25°C. Simply warm the bottle in lukewarm water at a temperature below 40 °C.
Caution: Do not heat in the microwave. This reversible solidification does not affect the quality of the oil. Coconut oil does not provide sun protection. When exposed to direct sunlight, use a product with a sun protection factor adapted to your skin and activity.
How to use
Facial care
In the morning, gently massage the coconut oil into the face and décolleté by tapping gently or using your fingertips around the eye contour to moisturise and protect the skin. Its light texture is absorbed immediately and makes even dry skin glow.
Relaxing, soothing body care
To relax the body and soothe the skin, gently apply the coconut oil to a slightly damp body. The mild shower gel is also gentle on dry skin during the beauty ritual and leaves the skin feeling soft thanks to the oil.
It melts into the skin when massaged in. The oil pleasantly relaxes the body and soothingly envelops it in a delicate, tropical-scented cloud of coconut with light vanilla notes. As a massage oil, it provides a gentle and refreshing sense of well-being. In combination with avocado oil, the coconut oil nourishes the skin even more intensively, provides it with valuable nutrients and protects it from drying out.
Relaxing bath for velvety soft, shimmering skin
Before taking a hot bath, add one or two capfuls of coconut oil. Or prepare a foaming cream by mixing 3 tablespoons of mild shower gel, 3 tablespoons of coconut oil and 3 tablespoons of body lotion with the fragrance of your choice (tiare, lily or vanilla). Then massage the whole body carefully with the oil in the water to maximise its beneficial effects.
The coconut oil is also a perfect complement to the exfoliating shower cream with papaya: mix 1 teaspoon of coconut oil with 2 tablespoons of exfoliating shower cream with papaya to obtain a creamy paste, massage in with slow, circular movements, then rinse off with warm water.
After the bath or shower, gently pat yourself dry with a soft towel to reveal smooth, supple and soothed skin.
Regenerating hand and foot care
Apply a few drops of coconut oil to the fingertips and massage in gently until absorbed. As the oil strengthens the fingernails and softens the cuticles, it beautifies and perfects manicured and painted nails.
For dry or damaged hands, spread coconut oil generously over the entire hand to relieve the unpleasant feeling of dry skin. Put on gloves and leave the coconut oil on overnight. Ideal against calluses on the feet: apply the oil after a foot bath or a gentle pumice stone scrub. Or treat feet with coconut oil, put on socks and leave on overnight. Coconut oil smoothes hands and feet, revitalises them and makes them supple.
Vibrant, radiant beauty for hair
Apply coconut oil to damp hair and leave on for 30 minutes (works better if you wrap a warm towel around your head). For damaged hair, leave the hair mask on overnight for optimum effect - and enjoy the pleasantly sweet fragrance.
Finish with a mild shampoo containing spirulina. The conditioner with cotton extract and jasmine rounds off the hair care routine perfectly and gives the hair even more suppleness and shine. A daily application of coconut oil nourishes the ends of the hair.
The coconut oil provides the scalp and hair with valuable nutrients and prevents drying out caused by wind, sun, sea water or chlorinated water. The coconut oil makes dull, lustreless hair shiny and lively again.
