Rebelliously floral – sophistication expressed in an astonishing bouquet of flowers
Sortilège – mysterious and utterly feminine – a fragrance for the red carpet. Aldehydes elegantly introduce a variety of flowers: ylang-ylang, jasmine, iris and rose come together with splendour and bombast, resting on a creamy bed of sandalwood, musk and warm, sensual patchouli.
Paul Vacher created Sortilège in 1936 as a tribute to the extravagant parties of the Roaring Twenties. In 1950, the fragrance was used as the signature scent for the Stork Club, an exclusive New York nightclub. Marilyn Monroe and Ava Gardner became the prestigious ambassadors of this magnificent floral aldehyde, which radiates the values of the house: nobility and exceptional femininity.
The perfumer on Sortilège
‘No single note predominates in this majestic bouquet, which consists of over 80 essences. It is opulent, and proud of it.’ – Rodrigo Flores-Roux
