Perfumer Olivia Giacobetti has taken a fresh look at her 1999 creation Passage d'Enfer, infusing her signature style with new energy and an olfactory wink.
A remarkable flower has become the symbol of this new creation: a variety of lily native to Asia, known as the Red Spider Lily because its petals shimmer like a halo of glowing flames.
This ‘resurrection lily’, which blooms on the autumn equinox, is synonymous with metamorphosis. In some traditions, it celebrates change, in others the journey to another world – a kind of forgotten paradise to which it transports us with its intoxicating scent.
The dry freshness of incense defies fate and the limits of time and is rounded off by the scents of lily, creamy sandalwood, benzoin and vanilla.
