The inspiration
‘Découvert‘, meaning “uncovered”, is the origin of this fragrance's name, but it is the modified spelling of this new fragrance, “Décou-Vert”, that makes its true meaning clear.
‘Décou-Vert’ is a liberation or discovery of greenery through the use of floral and plant notes, creating this fragrance's surprising bouquet. It has an impressive olfactory range from resin to green leaves. To achieve this, perfumer David Mauritte used water accords, lilac, magnolia, green notes, jasmine, light woody accords and musk.
The fragrance
Let your gaze and senses wander over the leaves and lush vegetation. ‘Décou-Vert’ releases a deep green into the air, which at the same moment submits to a multitude of colours and a vibrant palette of flowers and leaves. Together with the light tones, these evoke a kaleidoscope of colours and impressions that is simply breathtaking. Thanks to the fascinating musk and light woody accords in the base note, a touch of peace settles over this play of colours. David Mauritte himself describes the composition of this fragrance as ‘a clearing in the middle of a forest’. An olfactory surprise: ‘Décou-Vert.’
