Kanchaveli - Bath Soap No.1

The fragrance creation and philosophy behind my aroma composition
We all carry a longing for sensual experiences within us. Fragrances are a conscious and unconscious part of this, and the element of water can have an extremely beneficial effect on our bodies. Showering is therefore not just about cleansing and hygiene. If we allow it, it can be so much

more: a ritual, a kind of meditation, extremely positive and stimulating for body and mind.

Every day is a sensual celebration!

The physiological effect
One thing is particularly striking at first: the scent of Kanchaveli's soap cannot be precisely defined or described right away. Its multi-layered characteristics do not include the sharp notes of a ‘typical soap’, but it is not odourless either.

The scent is well-rounded, but unusual, even ‘exotic’ and foreign, yet it immediately arouses spontaneous interest and an unfamiliar curiosity! It awakens the human instinct to explore something unknown. Many soaps have an intense scent that is intended to generate enthusiasm and, of course, sales. That is perfectly acceptable.

But Kanchavelis soap is different. It does not seek to entice or elicit compliments. It knows its worth and deliberately does not strive to make a first impression. The scent of this initially curious creation offers a completely new soap experience: neither attractive nor repellent. It defies our attempts to categorise it.

I have designed Kanchavelis soap in many experiments so that it only develops its unmistakable charm over time. The next day, the scent unfolds pleasantly, revealing completely new notes on the second and third days, like a bud opening into a flower. From the fourth or fifth day onwards, enthusiasm sets in – and after that, you won't want to be without it.

So you should allow yourself a little time and meditative calm to get to know the soap and build a relationship with it, because this is a very individual symbiosis.

I am deliberately not describing the aromas I used here so as not to influence your personal discovery of the product, because every organism has a very specific and unique scent aura, good bacteria that should not be completely washed off the body, as they are important for our mental and physical health. After all, they ensure an optimal pH value for the skin and thus an effective acid mantle. So let's treat this natural protection with great care.

Therefore, it is not certain whether intensive washing is necessarily beneficial to health, but if you shower every day, or even several times a day, you should do so with healthy and skin-friendly products. The most important thing about an optimal body cleanser is that it allows the skin to quickly reproduce the necessary bacteria that are lost during washing. It goes without saying that you should pay close attention to the ingredients in a soap and examine them carefully.

The psychological effect
After a few days of using Kanchaveli's soap, you will enjoy a fragrance that you associate with cleanliness and well-being: a rural garden, freshly washed laundry drying in the sun and blowing back and forth in a light breeze; memories of carefree, playful days when, as a child, you were showered by your mother and made fresh for bed – the scent of childhood on your own skin. I want to revive those carefree days with my soap and, beyond that, create a new and exciting fragrance experience.

The special, high-quality packaging
I spent a long time looking for the perfect manufacturer for the box. The goal was not simply to create a box that matched the dimensions of the soap and featured the logo, but to obtain elegant packaging that was in keeping with the precious contents. I want to avoid the packaging ending up in the rubbish and would like it to find a new purpose, for example as a storage box for jewellery or other items, in order to support sustainability. Unlike perfume, high-quality packaging for soaps is rather the exception. Finally, I achieved my goal – with a great result. The sturdy cardboard has a green, velvety surface and is very durable.

Perfect as a gift
Kanchavelis soap is exceptionally distinctive thanks to its premium organic quality, elegant packaging and positive vibes that seductively stimulate our sense of smell. The love, energy and power I put into creating the soap can be felt as soon as you hold the box in your hands. The quality of the overall product brings joy that you want to share with others.

A special, absolutely unique and extraordinary gift!

Philosophy

I have always been fascinated by stories, by distant worlds that I imagined in my mind's eye, by places that do not exist, by human passions that unfolded centuries ago, and by possible future events... I wanted to share these stories and discovered that staging films and plays was a great way to do so.

Through years of experience as a dramaturge, I know that storytelling does not have to be tied to a specific medium. When I started working with aromas and immersed myself in the world of different scents, I was absolutely amazed by the power and ability to tell my stories in this way.

Depending on the mixture and composition of certain aromas, I was able to create small worlds in which aromas act like actors in a play. This is how my liquids Patisserie, Utopium, Blauer Rausch, Elysium, etc. came into being.

Now I'm going one step further, leaving out almost all human sensory perceptions and focusing on just one: the sense of smell, probably the least explored of the senses, where there is so much new and inspiring to discover. With my fragrances, I want to expand the meaning of perfume as an ‘everyday companion’ and compose them in such a way that they allow you to enter or at least glimpse another dimension.

Time travel into the past

Even if it seems impossible to travel back in time, I am convinced that smells offer a way to immerse oneself in past eras and bring the past back to life, so to speak. A seemingly paradoxical but evocative journey through time. Through research and investigation, for example into the Middle Ages in Europe, the cultural and social developments of the time, historical facts and aroma production processes, I want to create a fragrance that transports this period into the present.

My goal is to embark on a journey through time with different scents and wander through human history, putting myself in the shoes of our ancestors, finding out which perfumes certain historical figures preferred, which ingredients were used from which regions, how the manufacturing processes worked, sensing a hint of the individual scent of pharaohs, explore their emotional impact and how these people might have felt as a result.

Emotional impact

We all agree on the emotional impact of music. A piece of music can accompany us throughout our lives and influence us positively. Music can inspire, relax and make us forget the world around us. It helps us in difficult times and has an effect on our psyche and mood. We often close our eyes when we listen. So if a single source, in this case music, can transport us to a state where we can interpret the entire universe, why shouldn't it be possible with another source of information, such as the sense of smell? The dimension that the sense of hearing opens up to me must also exist for the sense of smell.

That is exactly what I want to discover on my research trip. To create scents and perfumes that can have as strong an emotional effect on us as music, a film or a great book.
