100 ml Leder 6 – Liquid Leather Overdose
Sinful Berlin just got even more sinful: ‘Double size, double sin.’
Since its premiere in 2015, Leather 6 has become a global bestseller for J.F. Schwarzlose Berlin. To mark its sixth anniversary, Schwarzlose is presenting the new 100 ml luxury edition in a special design with a genuine cowhide leather label, hand-packed in a high-quality slipcase, which is elaborately produced as an art print in northern Germany. The olfactory inspiration for Leder 6 came from the historic Schwarzlose fragrance ‘Spanisch Leder’ on the one hand, and Berlin's unbridled modernity and legendary club scene on the other.
Fragrance description
Sensual desire – leather notes and saffron blossom
Fantastic dream – enveloping milk and pure vanilla Jungle Essence
Dark wilderness – incense and Japanese styrax resins
The top note is an accord of osmanthus absolute, a Chinese flower with a leathery, animalic note. Essences of saffron round off this exciting first experience. The heart surprises with enveloping milk and the warmth of vanilla Jungle Essence. The base follows the template of ‘Spanisch Leder’ by J.F. Schwarzlose Söhne from 1921. The combination of incense and Japanese styrax resins gives the fragrance a sensual character that evokes associations with the wicked world of Berlin, which is difficult to resist.
Leder 6 is a modern interpretation of the historic Schwarzlose fragrance ‘Spanisch Leder’, reinvented as an oriental leather fragrance. In this version, it has an addictive note created by unique technology and the highly innovative ingredients of the MANE perfume house.
Inspiration: Modern Berlin club scene
Berlin is notorious for its permissive club scene, which offers everything – absolutely everything – without remorse. This inspired perfumer Véronique Nyberg to give the theme of leather a modern twist. The concept is visually and haptically manifested in the new 100 ml Eau de Parfum with a solid label made of genuine cowhide leather, which is attached to each bottle by hand in Berlin.
