The fragrance from Filippo Sorcinelli's delire de voyage collection was launched just in time for Easter.
Filippo highlights these moments by interpreting some passages from the Gospel of Mark through scent, especially the moment of amazement and fear of the women when they realise that the stone has been rolled away from the tomb.
An ideal image to describe this moment is the bottle containing the precious fragrant oils of aloe and myrrh that they had prepared for the anointing of Jesus' body, which falls to the ground at the moment when they see not only the stone rolled away, but also the white linen cloths covering the body. Then comes the announcement of a young man dressed in shining white...
The bottle and the four ‘wings’ that open as a ‘ritual’ are covered with sand and dust to remind us of the steps, the path and the place. However, the element that draws our attention is the lid, which imitates the stylistic features of the gravestone that has been rolled away, just as they used to be erected in the past. The artwork is covered in its entirety by a white linen cloth bearing the name of the fragrance: Hæc Dies.
The outside of the packaging is also covered with the same linen.
