Arte della Lana, 1317

This guild was perhaps the most important source of wealth and power in Florence: it actually contributed to spreading the city's products throughout the world. It took care of all processes from raw wool to finished cloth. Every Florentine product was marked with a ‘wool stamp’ to protect it from counterfeiting.

Mehr über Farmacia SS. Annunziata

‘Tradition with a view to the future’ is the motto of the long-established Florentine perfume house Farmacia SS. Annunziata 1561. It uses traditional methods and the highest quality ingredients to create fragrances that are as profound and unique as the personalities of those who wear them.

In addition, the company is continuously committed to a more responsible use of environmental resources. This ranges from the extraction of ingredients and packaging to the sustainability of its production facilities, making the company a true pioneer in the industry. The fragrances are made from naturally sourced ingredients without parabens or genetic engineering and, of course, without animal testing. In keeping with traditional craftsmanship, glass containers are increasingly being used and the use of plastic is being minimised. Fragrances from Farmacia thus combine traditional craftsmanship with progressive and contemporary thinking and action. And you can smell and feel that.

Farmacia SS. Annunziata 1561 – a house with a long history

Farmacia SS. Annunziata was first mentioned in documents as early as 1561. The herbalist and chemist Domenico di Vincenzo di Domenico Brunetti, a member of the guild of doctors and pharmacists, moved into his shop at that time, a business that had previously been run by Benedictine nuns. However, the documents relating to this monastic order disappeared with the French occupation of Tuscany at the beginning of the 19th century. The pharmacy then changed hands many times before finally being acquired by the Azzerlini family, who have been running the business for three generations. Today, the pharmacy has white ceilings and dark wooden shelves displaying decorative 18th-century apothecary jars. But although the pharmacy still upholds old traditions, it naturally also uses modern equipment and new materials to manufacture high-quality products tailored to its customers. The result is wonderful fragrance compositions full of a sense of tradition and always in line with the latest discoveries in the world of fragrance. This enables them to create irresistible fragrances that are full of surprises time and time again.
