The sensual experience of a cleansing oil with tuberose fragrance.
The limited edition of this perfumed shower oil is presented in a vibrant red colour, a nod to Vietnamese craftsmanship. When combined with water, it envelops the skin in a fresh, floral fragrance. The intoxicating notes of tuberose with their refreshing marine accents unfold in the oil's comforting foam, leaving a clean, delicately perfumed finish. A sensual time-out.
In ancient times, fragrant oils were used to perfume not only the skin but also the hair. The oils helped to preserve the intensity of the fragrances and blend them with the incense nuances used to treat the fabrics. Later, in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, fragrance balls, musk apples and pomanders came into fashion, along with finely chiselled fragrance dispensers. In addition, there was an abundance of ointments and elixirs ... Over time, fixed rituals and precious objects developed around all these fragrance-diffusing substances.
Since its very beginnings, Diptyque has drawn inspiration from this history of perfume and is now inventing a new ceremony, a new art form of perfuming oneself:
The perfume gestures
Gestures that make the invisible tangible, the intangible tangible. In its exploration of the language of perfume, the House is once again taking innovative sensory paths and expanding its own palette with ‘perfume gestures’, a combination of different intensities and surprising textures. L'Ombre dans l'Eau, Do Son, Philosykos and Eau Rose come in balm, gel, oil and foam formats, developing a fragrance intensity equivalent to that of an eau de toilette that lasts for many hours.
The creation of these sensory fragrances is extremely complex. No two are alike, as each has its own texture that allows it to unfold individually. The selection of ingredients and their dosage draws on all of diptyque's expertise to achieve perfect balance. Substance becomes fragrance, fragrance becomes substance. A unique experience for all the senses, as simple in everyday use as it is sophisticated as a fragrance ritual, whose sensuality lingers throughout the day.
