The Eau de Parfum 34 Boulevard Saint Germain is an ode to the modernity of the diptyque boutique at 34 Boulevard Saint Germain. Despite its proud age, it continues to reinvent itself. The Eau de Parfum is a multifaceted and extremely elegant creation, from its fragrance to the design of the bottle. The appealing ambience and special atmosphere are reflected in this fragrance. The light wood of the counters, the antique furniture and the hidden treasures of the boutique are bathed in a soft, golden light every day. Modern, fresh and harmonious, the boutique reminds us of the constant evolution at diptyque. New encounters constantly give rise to new connections. The graphic lines, the elegant smoke effect on the glass and the black and white Basile pattern on the outer packaging all allude to the symbols and history of the house. A poetic invitation to the world of diptyque lovers.
Special raw materials of the purest quality. An enveloping, luxurious and contrasting creation that reveals its spicy side at the end. Sandalum album from Australia adds a woody, creamy note. Bourbon vanilla, tonka bean and pink pepper create an enveloping contrast.
What is new, what is the same?
This composition, once again developed by Olivier Pescheux, is naturally inspired by the same source, but at a different time than the previous ones. It proves to be more concise and deeper, somehow more golden, radiant and sensual. An authentic skin fragrance.
The Eau de Parfum is created from a woody accord of light-filled consoles, display cases, shelves and counters and is based on a special Australian sandalwood of Indian origin, which gives it an intense velvety quality, an almost lascivious aura and a distinctly oriental flair. Bourbon vanilla, which also appears in the Eau de Toilette, further enhances this warmth until tonka bean with a high coumarin content comes into play. With a hint of almond, slightly spicy with a touch of cinnamon and clove, it is highly appealing. Pep and freshness? These come from a pinch of pepperwood pepper and a generous handful of pink pepper, half fruit, half flower, happy ‘accidents’ that suddenly appear.
Brought together in a smoked glass bottle with a heavy base, topped with black bakelite and carefully nestled in a box with a black and white Basile pattern: a particularly geometric design by Christiane from 1963. And around the emblem with the number 34: can you guess what it says? DIPTYQUE, 34 BOULEVARD SAINT GERMAIN, PARIS 5°.
