This fragrance joins the collection of perfumes developed in collaboration with the National Museum of Natural History in Paris: Pelargonium Odoratissimum, a variety of fragrant geranium. This species expresses the passion of the museum's scientists and botanists for the Versailles Chèvreloup greenhouse: the 200-hectare park is home to countless greenhouses where 137 varieties of pelargonium are cultivated, including 400 known and documented species.
After spending a day surrounded by geraniums in the greenhouses of the Arboretum of Versailles-Chèvreloup, Serge De Oliveira, Robertet's natural perfume specialist, chose Pelargonium Odoratissimum: ‘Its fragrance is not only pleasant, but also reveals notes of hemp flowers with a hint of grapefruit, rhubarb and lemongrass.’ This scented candle is its perfect reflection: a fresh top note of grapefruit and hemp flowers, the top note that embodies the beauty of pelargonium, and a base note of patchouli, a fragrance found in many types of pelargonium.
Refill pack for scented candles
In line with its commitment to sustainability, Carrière Frères is launching an innovative and revolutionary refill pack for scented candles. This visionary initiative is a milestone in a market where packaging plays a key role.
A unique, 100% compostable container. Carrière Frères has dispensed with cardboard and opted for an innovative solution made from biodegradable material: the new outer packaging is made from compostable and recyclable plant-based raw materials and contains 100% plant-based fragrance wax from European organic rapeseed.
A proven standard of quality
With this innovation, Carrière Frères invites every customer to keep the original glass jar and reuse it as they wish. The refill contains 185 g of wax, which is poured in a workshop in Normandy and has the same wax quality and traditional manufacturing process as every classic candle.
Notes
1. The refill wax should never be used in the packaging.
2. The glass container of your Carrière Frères scented candle should be cleaned before inserting the refill. To do this, place the glass container in the freezer for a few hours to ensure that any wax residue can be easily removed. The glass can also be wiped with a damp cloth and soap.
3. The wick and metal wick tab should be removed.
4. Once the container has been cleaned, the refill can be removed from its packaging.
5. The refill can now be inserted into the glass container.
6. The candle should ideally burn until the entire surface has liquefied. Allow the wax to solidify again before relighting.
7. Please always trim the wick to 0.6 cm to prevent sooting.
Burn time: 40 to 45 hours
