Byredo is a Stockholm-based company that specialises in the production of exquisitely crafted, high-quality fragrances.



Byredo was founded in 2006 by Ben Gorham, who is still the owner and creative director of the company. Born in Sweden, he grew up in Canada and the USA. He studied at the Swedish Academy of Realistic Art in Stockholm and worked as an interior designer and basketball player before turning to the world of fragrance. With Byredo - the name stands for 'by redolence' - Ben Gorham is pursuing his own agenda: "I have always been fascinated by the world of scents and the way they affect my memories and impressions. With Byredo, I want to share my personal experiences and contribute to an almost collective memory that evokes places and times. I believe that tradition and innovation should be brought together, using modern approaches without neglecting the time-honoured techniques of perfumery.



With Byredo, Gorham has realised this almost traditional idea in a completely new way: The line shines with quality and absolute innovation. Not surprisingly, Gorham is also working with the best perfumers in the business - Olivia Giacobetti, Jerome Epinette and Michel Almairac have already been recruited. In a very short time, Byredo has become a renowned brand in the international niche market.
