Gourmand — iris, cocoa, papyrus
The temptation of cocoa and the warmth of rum, harmoniously complemented by woody papyrus. A warm, syrupy top note with rum and cocoa. A soft, powdery heart note of iris, sandalwood and vanilla. Vetiver and papyrus lend a woody note to the base, which is enhanced by strong coffee.
Inspiration: A summer evening in Cartagena. A dinner for two, in summer, under the stars. Conversations come to an end. The tablecloth is stained and crumpled. Coffee, rum, and chocolates are served. A calm, warm breeze, a gourmand dance of aromas.
“I wanted the Cartagena night to become a perfume, to forever remember that magical evening under the stars. A tribute to Colombia and its scents.” — Ludovic Bonneton
Essence of Moroccan iris
One of the rarest ingredients in perfumery, it takes 7 years to extract. The roots are left in the ground for 3 years, then dried for 4 years before they can be used. Powdery, earthy, woody.
“The challenge was enormous. We were talking about recreating a defining moment in Ludovic's life: his first dinner with his wife.” — Perfumer Clément Marx
