602 Woody
An eau de parfum with black spices from the South Seas and classic woody nuances.
602 opens with a burst of bright citrus notes, with the bitterness of pomelo and the freshness of mint. The heart note unfolds with essential oils of pepper and berries, revealing a rather cool and spicy character.
The fragrance features woody patchouli essences, cedarwood and vetiver. Finally, this composition develops smoky and mystical tones.
Eau de Parfum 602: A peppery woody fragrance
This woody perfume with the sharp spices of the South Seas creates that unique, calming feeling characteristic of woody fragrances. 602 opens with sunny neroli notes that meet the spicy freshness of West Indian laurel and unfold spicy floral notes. The heart note reveals a cool and spicy character with black pepper from Madagascar, Somali incense and cedarwood, which strikes a mysterious tone. In the base note, woody essences of patchouli, vetiver and benzoin resin add smoky notes reminiscent of a spicy fougère fragrance. 602 is a woody fragrance with spicy notes that belongs more to the woody-spicy fragrance family than to the woody-oriental fragrance family.
The woody fragrance 602, which borders on a fougère fragrance, will appeal to all noses – from the simplest to the most complex.
What is a fougère?
‘Fougère Royale’ is a fragrance first created in 1882 by Paul Parquet for the House of Houbigant. Fougère Royale completely revolutionised the world of fragrances and helped establish modern perfumery as we know it today. Fougère Royale was the first ‘fougère’ ever created. It introduced a new fragrance family that remains the most popular masculine fragrance to this day. The fougère accord is composed of lavender, geranium, oakmoss, vetiver and coumarin. It smells fresh, sweet and aromatic.
What is a resin?
In perfumery, resins are a large family consisting of hard resins, oleoresins, balsams and gum resins. One of the best known and most popular resins is benzoin resin. This resin is obtained by making incisions in the trunk of Styrax tonkinensis, a shrub that grows in Laos and Vietnam.
What is pepper?
Pepper is a spice obtained from the berries of various types of pepper plants belonging to the Piperaceae family. In France, only the fruits of black pepper (Piper nigrum), which produces green, white, red and black pepper, may be called ‘pepper’. Black pepper can be found in our number 602. Similarly, other spices from completely different plants use the same name, but these false peppers have different botanical characteristics and impart different flavours. These include Timut pepper or Nepal pepper, which can be found in our 903 and is made from rare and exclusive ingredients.
Mix & Match:
Combine two fragrances (or three for the really brave) to create your own unique scent trail. Different dosages (one, two, three sprays) produce a unique result.
602 x 001 – for a fresher quality 602 x 801 – for a hint of the sea
Bon Parfumeur perfumes are designed to be combined according to your own preferences. For a fresher fragrance, we recommend layering #602 with #001, while #801 adds an aquatic touch.
