The Elegant Confidence
At 27 87, we believe in crafting fragrances that resonate deeply, becoming an intrinsic part of one’s identity rather than a fleeting accessory. Lametta, embodies this philosophy, offering a modern interpretation of personal luxury and the quiet confidence of true self-expression. Lametta takes its name from the delicate strands of festive tinsel, evoking subtle brilliance and quiet magic. Lametta as a fragrance is not about overt sparkle, but about an ethereal glow—an understated elegance that enhances presence without overwhelming.
Crafted around a pioneering patented musk, Lametta blends seamlessly with the skin, creating a personal and intimate signature—a true “second skin” effect. Its minimalist, highly modern composition reflects sophistication and precision, resulting in a scent that is both refined and enduring. Lametta embodies Elegant Confidence: an invisible aura of composure and authenticity, radiant yet effortless, delicate yet unforgettable.
How does Lametta smell like?
A cascade of silver threads and a metallic sheen create clean elegance, softened by satin ribbons, velvety creaminess, and skin-like warmth. Constant and refined, echoing Lametta’s quiet brilliance—delicate, radiant, eternal. Great as a stand-alone or in combination with other 27 87 perfumes.
Lametta, Lametta… what does it actually mean?
The name Lametta comes from the German word for the delicate, shimmering tinsel once draped over fir trees to catch and reflect light. Fine silver strands, fragile yet luminous, adorning without overwhelming. In the delicacy of a single strand lies a quiet kind of magic: not a blaze of brilliance, but a shimmer revealed in still ness, restraint, and presence. Lametta is the essence of subtle brilliance.
There used to be more Lametta
The saying “Früher war mehr Lametta” (“There used to be more Lametta”), made famous by the beloved German comedian Loriot, humorously reflects a sense that life once held more magic, glamour, and charm—even if only in memory. Today, in a world that often feels louder, faster, and more distant, his reflection resonates more than ever.
Lametta is launched here and now as an olfactive response to our times. A fragrance that embraces the philosophy of understatement—where confidence is quiet elegance, and sophistication lives in simplicity. Sensual without excess, radiant without ostentation, Lametta reminds us that true brilliance lies not in display, but in subtle presence.
More than just a perfume, Lametta echoes what Loriot hinted at: a gentle call to bring back a little more shimmer. Not as mere ornament, but as inner glow. A fragrance for our times—where understatement speaks louder than words ever could.
Modern molecular perfumery
What sets Lametta apart is not an abundance of notes, but the precision of a few extraordinary ones. Crafted with rare, high-purity molecules available only to select perfumers and exceptionally costly to produce—often through advanced biotechnology or complex synthesis—Lametta embodies a new kind of luxury. The composition is deliberately minimalist and highly modern, with no fillers or generic notes, only the purest materials chosen for their elegance, longevity, and seamless affinity with the skin. The result is a fragrance that feels intimate, radiant, and unmistakably distinct. And yet, part of its allure lies in what remains unsaid: this time, we do not reveal the exact ingredients. The formula remains private—a secret kept to preserve its rarity and ensure Lametta remains as exclusive as the quiet confidence it evokes.
A personal note from the founder
‘Since founding 27 87, I’m often asked: “What’s your favourite fragrance from the line?” I’ve never had one answer. Each perfume reflects a different facet of modern perfumery and holds its own emotional connection for me. What I wear depends on mood or occasion—to choose just one would be like listening to the same song or wearing the same clothes every day. Fragrance, after all, is always a deeply personal choice. With Lametta, I finally give my answer. This is the fragrance I hold closest—one I can wear alone in its quiet brilliance or layer seamlessly with others. It is my fragrance base, my anchor, and my counterpoint to the loud, overbearing scents too often mistaken for luxury simply because of their intensity. In its purity, intimacy, and versatility, Lametta embodies not only my personal style, but also the guiding philosophy of my work—and with it, the very essence of 27 87.’ —Romy Kowalewski
