More about Scherrer Perfumes
Through his early passion for dancing, Jean-Louis Scherrer was exposed to all kinds of costumes at an early age. This was no bad preparation for his later career as a women's fashion designer, which he began with an apprenticeship at Dior alongside the young Yves Saint-Laurent. After Dior was sold to Saint-Laurent, Scherrer successfully founded his own fashion house specializing in haute couture, which quickly achieved notoriety and great success with its classic, sophisticated, and sensual designs.
Scherrer was never a designer who created trends. Rather, he reinterpreted existing trends and was famous for giving them his own luxurious signature. Scherrer was also always a great lover of fragrances, and his desire was to create scents that matched his fashion collections. They were designed to be both sensual and classic, emphasizing the style of sophisticated women. In 1986, this dream finally became reality. His first perfume, "Jean-Louis Scherrer," already impressed with its feminine simplicity, and other, equally sophisticated creations were to follow.
