Do you remember the drive to the orange grove that spring? How the winding roads cut ribbons through the hills and we knew the lyrics to every song on the radio. How the air smelled sweet – of honey, of possibilities – and how the sun warmed our skin. How we found a quiet place to park and kissed under the orange blossoms, and the whole day felt like a secret that belonged only to us. Later, on the way home, you found a flower in the folds of your coat. Its scent lingered – fresh and bright and golden.
