Towards the Levant: the desert adventure begins. A link between several lands, Caravansérail Intense is a stopover at the crossing of the coffee and spice roads. A historic site of hospitality not far from arid deserts, pioneer explorers and travelling souls are welcomed by a hot, addictive traditional coffee whose swirls reveal the fresh facets of cardamom seeds.
Fruity, sweet notes enhance this divine mixture delicately sprinkled with cinnamon and cloves, while a duo of patchouli heart and sandalwood provides a woody intensity. Finally the powerful sandstorm of dry amber notes highlights immortelle, vanilla, and tonka bean.
The fragrance was inspired by the coffee people drink in the Middle East which is a combination of Arabica seeds and different spices like cardamom, clove, and sometimes saffron.
A caravanserai was a roadside inn developed in the first years of the Islamic world where travellers called “caravaners” could rest safely and recover from the day’s journey. It was also a space of commerce and a great information centre for people across the network of trade routes covering Asia, North Africa, and southeast Europe, like the famous Silk or Spice route.
