More about Hima Jomo
With the call of nature from the Himalayas and the heritage of French perfumery, hima jomo is committed to creating a unique, transregional olfactory dialogue between authenticity and modernity.
hima jomo was founded in Paris in 2020 by a group of friends who share a deep appreciation for the nature and culture of the Himalayas. The name is a combination of two elements that are close to the brand's heart: ‘hima’ for ‘Himalayas’ and ‘jomo’, which means ‘holy mother’ in Tibetan and is also an acronym for ‘Joy Of Missing Out’. The perfumes by hima jomo contain some of the rarest ingredients found exclusively in the mountains. They promise a journey into the wilderness and tranquillity of the Himalayas, allowing everyone to return to the sources of life and original well-being by evoking the olfactory richness of this heavenly land.
Himalayas
One glance at the mighty landscape and towering snow-capped peaks is enough to captivate us forever. Breathtaking mountains, dense, cool forests, dazzling snow reflecting the sunlight, deep, fascinating gorges, winding rivers, a rich biodiversity and countless legends – all this describes the incredible Himalayas. ‘Hima’ means snow and “Alaya” means “abode” in Sanskrit. The mountains are an important part of the lives of Tibetans, Indians, Nepalese and many others who live near these magnificent mountains.
Whether it's the Siwaliks (the foothills of the mountains) or the highest peaks (Mount Everest, Kangchenjunga and others), the Himalayas are an inspiration to poets, a fascination for tourists and a source of life for more than half of the world's population.
Commitment
We are committed to a sustainable approach to nature conservation and donate €1 to the WWF for every bottle sold from the Seasons Collection to help preserve the Himalayas and ensure that their natural beauty continues to thrive.
Inspiration for the packaging design
The vertical alignment of the text on the flacon, like the brand's logo, was inspired by the sacred texts of Tibet, the mantras. The cap, in turn, was inspired by Tibetan clay and is crowned by the brand's monogram, the ambigram of the brand's initials h and j, modelled as a tip and root that come from the sky and the earth to attract the forces of nature.
