The name Hermetica goes back to the collection of writings by Hermes Trismegistos: the Corpus Hermeticum. The collected works are mystical and philosophical treatises from antiquity that laid the foundations for alchemy.
Hermetica is a collection of clean fragrances inspired by ancient Florentine alchemy, which sought to transform base metals into precious materials and find the elixir of eternal life. Translating this practice into modern perfumery, Hermetica is based on the assumption that the perfect fragrance depends on the chemical combination of the molecules within a fragrance and on the skin. In their quest for the ultimate fragrance elixir, the founders of Hermetica decided to create a revolutionary collection by not choosing between natural ingredients or molecules, but using both in combination. These hybrid formulas were developed using a unique, patented technique called ‘Innoscent,’ a world first in the fragrance industry. The alcohol-free formulas immediately reveal the heart of the fragrance and mainly use green chemistry based on renewable ingredients and molecules.
