Patchouli is the most sensuous among all the woody notes, a material of great importance in the perfumer´s palette and one that is prized for its richness. Patchouli has many facets. There is always more to discover about its damp, wet, mossy, dry, almost dusty earthiness. It evokes power and depth.
It´s definitely a very un-hippie patchouli that bestrides the olfactory gender spectrum and is marked by Nicolaï´s signature opening of candied orange with a touch of cinnamon which sweetens the marriage of a deep, dark, earthy patch and it natural partner, rose. Lavender and geranium lighten the heart of this provocative blend before melting into an incense-laden, almost tarry leather drydown that accentuates the vanillas smokier side.
