Thymus was inspired by the traditionally used medicinal and culinary herb thyme (Thymus vulgaris) and thus fits seamlessly into the existing fragrance collection, whose scents originate from well-known and proven medicinal plants.
Olfactive Pharmacy enlisted the help of Lithuanian perfumer Aistis Mickevičius, who has already launched numerous exceptional fragrances under his own brand FUMparFUM, to create the thyme fragrance Thymus. He was immediately enthusiastic about the idea of dedicating a contemporary feel-good fragrance to the time-honoured thyme, as this plant also has a long tradition in Lithuania and enjoys great popularity.
Thyme was used in many ways in ancient civilisations. Records from ancient Greece and Egypt document its use in incense blends. Thyme was also used as a spice and in beverages. For the Romans, thyme was a symbol of courage and strength. It is said that Roman warriors even bathed in thyme water to strengthen themselves for battle.
Thymus by Olfactive Pharmacy combines the expressive thyme with caressing notes of yuzu, spices and lush amber. A subtle hint of neroli adds freshness and a positive mood, making this fragrance an exceptional, balancing and comforting companion all year round.
Thymus is the fourth fragrance in the Parfum de Santé collection with a fragrance concentration of 20% (Eau de Parfum/Parfum).
Packaging
The bottle of Olfactive Pharmacy fragrances deserves special attention. Inspired by traditional brown glass apothecary bottles, the design has been cleverly translated into the present day. The specially designed cap is made up of a hexagonal stopper and the neck of the bottle, cleverly imitating the typical silhouette of an apothecary bottle.
Lithographs of the selected medicinal plants for each fragrance are printed in white, as is the high-quality outer packaging, symbolising freshness and modernity; perfectly balanced with the traditional and classic design and brown and gold colours.
