More about Dr. Vranjes
Florence – the cradle of the Renaissance – was to become the centre of creativity for pharmacist, chemist, cosmetologist and, above all, passionate perfumer Dr Paolo Vranjes. A city that has always been associated with the distillation of precious essences, not least thanks to the historical perfume enthusiast Caterina de' Medici (Queen of France from 1533 to 1559). Paolo Vranjes, originally from Bologna, opened his Antica Officina del Farmacista in this city in 1983, continuing the local tradition. Together with his highly qualified staff, he creates a wide variety of perfumes and fragrances as well as innovative beauty treatments in his fragrance and cosmetics laboratory.
Dr. Vranjes reveals: ‘My philosophy is that in order to feel good, people need to surround themselves with things that bring comfort to the mind and senses.’ True to this guiding principle, he combines innovative technology, tireless research, experience and tradition to create excellent creations – always striving for perfection.
With his legendary and versatile room fragrance collection, Dr. Vranjes effortlessly fills rooms with a unique atmosphere, spirit and inspiration. The fragrances are meticulously crafted down to the last detail and contain essences of the highest quality, whose appearance also pays homage to the beauty of their adopted home: the bottles are modelled on the world-famous dome of Florence Cathedral, a tribute to the marvel with which Renaissance architect and sculptor Filippo Brunelleschi immortalised himself.
‘I am passionate about being a perfumer. My work is like an exciting journey with so much to discover. I am curious and work tirelessly on new fragrance compositions. Capturing impressions and creating fragrances that tell these stories and evoke positive emotions in people are my greatest passions.’ Dr Paolo Vranjes
