Naxos celebrates the deep and sensual heart of Sicily with this opulent perfume. Inspired by tradition, but firmly rooted in the present. With its Mediterranean and passionate character, ‘Naxos’ conveys a cheerful vitality thanks to its citrus notes. These blend with sweet flowers and are emphasised by the contrast created by precious spices. The olfactory traces of a culture of conquest and domination dating back over 1,000 years come together in Naxos. The fragrance opens with classic light and fruity hints of citrus, combined with exotic notes of cinnamon and the sweetness of vanilla and honey. The youthful heart of white flowers and jasmine is replaced by masculine notes of tobacco and tonka bean in the base.
The inspiration
In 1861, the individual states of the Apennine Peninsula united under the leadership of King Victor Emmanuel II to form a united Italy. The young nation had always been home to poets, saints and seafarers who shaped Italy's reputation throughout the world with their special talent for creativity. The 150th anniversary of this unification was a very special event for Italy, and Xerjoff honoured it with the launch of the fragrance XJ 1861, which perfectly showcases the artistic heritage of Xerjoff's homeland.
The bottle
A classic shape that stands out thanks to its intricate golden glass engravings. The precious bottle is crowned by the typical golden and very distinctive Xerjoff cap.
The packaging
150 years of enthusiasm and unbridled creativity are reflected in the colours of the Italian flag. These colours are also found in the artistic design of the packaging.
