Taylor of Old Bond Street – barber culture since 1854
Barber Jeremias Taylor earned an excellent reputation in Victorian Britain in the 19th century. In his barber shop, which he opened in 1854, he used only natural essences for shaving and hair care, which helped his business in the famous Old Bond Street in London's West End attract numerous customers. Together with his son Ivan, a trained chemist, he constantly developed new herbal applications and care products, making the products increasingly sophisticated, effective and therefore more popular.
From 1930 onwards, Sydney Taylor continued to run the business, using the family's wealth of experience so skilfully that sales of the products went from strength to strength and he soon opened a second shop in the equally prestigious Jermyn Street in the St James's district.
Sydney Taylor's son Leonard became the owner in 1955 and continued the business in the tried and tested manner. In 1960, he brought his brother-in-law Stanley Morris onto the board to run the company together with him. In 1996, the time came to pass on the reins once again – Barry Klein, Leonard Taylor's son-in-law, became chairman, ensuring that the business remained in the family.
The high standards and wealth of experience gained from practical experience are the capital of Taylor of Old Bond Street, and it is therefore a must for us to offer you these products.
