Ceylon – or ‘the tear of India’.
A tear shed at a farewell or upon a surprise return. The wind blows a drop of honey extract onto rosy cheeks, a cool breeze carries a drop of bergamot from Calabria, and the sun dries a drop of jasmine.
The mist rises into the sky and becomes a whirlwind over the Andaman Sea – a whirlwind in whose eye a mixture of black Ceylon tea, Malaysian oud and Indian sandalwood waits to whirl all good intentions into confusion. Ceylon stands for the awakening of a shipwrecked man whose eyes see the sun. Notes of vanilla, ambergris and musk make him lift his head. He looks up, unaware that he is only a breath away from the most wonderful pleasure of his life.
The Oud Stars Collection
The Oud Stars Collection by Xerjoff, a collection inspired by the Arab tradition of perfume making, contains the richest and most precious ingredient in the world: oud. A collection capable of transporting the wearer to another world, where this original oriental style is reinterpreted through Italian craftsmanship and creativity. It transports us to new, stimulating universes and reveals intense emotions with every spray.
Oud Stars is entirely inspired by and dedicated to the journey of Ibn Battuta. As extensive as the journey he undertook, each of the exquisitely crafted perfumes in this collection bears the name of the cities he visited and described in his book.
