Intoxicating Osmanthus
The name of the fragrance was inspired by a park in Shanghai. A hidden gem in the heart of Shanghai, every October it is filled with the intoxicating scent of osmanthus blossoms.
Ulrich Lang visited Shanghai for the first time in 2017 and was immediately captivated and fascinated by the city. During that trip, he was asked if he would like to create a fragrance based on osmanthus blossoms. Intrigued by the idea, he immediately began his research and development.
Extremely multifaceted and contrasting, 17 Nandan Road's crystal-clear top notes evoke impressions of green leaves, Sicilian lemon and bergamot, interwoven with precious osmanthus blossoms and hints of sensually soft suede, musk and ambrox. An extremely unexpected combination that caresses the senses. The uniquely floral nuanced heart note of 17 Nandan Road creates a fascinating whirlwind of creamy, fruity facets and soft leather nuances. Sensual and very seductive.
For the motif for 17 Nandan Road, Ulrich Lang New York decided on a new visual direction after 15 years and chose a photo interpretation by Chinese writer and poet Song Yuan. This captures the intoxicating scent of osmanthus blossoms in a visually impressive, almost dizzying way. The packaging echoes the colours of the motif, creating a particularly vibrant and refreshingly modern look.
