‘With Jasmagonda, I wanted to change my perspective, like a bird flying over the canopy of leaves and perceiving its essence...’ – Pierre Guillaume
Composition
Jasmagonda is like a warm breeze caressing us. Plant scents waft from the canopy of the cedar forest at the foot of the Himalayas. The breeze continues to blow, brushing jasmine fields, passing through jungles that stretch to the sea, all the way to the beaches of Agonda. Green, silky notes bring bergamot, grapefruit and apple to life in this delicate composition.
The bright heart note is dominated by magnolia blossoms together with an aquatic note. It then leads us to the main accord of Himalayan cedar and Indian jasmine. The base note reveals its woody character, leading to a long-lasting sillage in a powdery vanilla-tonka complex.
Jasmine wood seen from the sky
Pierre Guillaume presents us with the green, colourful, wild India seen from the sky. We look at a silky, woody-floral elixir that blends with the strong scent of Indian jasmine. Himalayan cedar and tonka ground the perfume.
Inspiration
Pierre likes to explore notes that feel natural and green. After guiding us through a sun-drenched forest with Komorebi 9.1, he now invites us to change our perspective: we fly upwards and see the landscape in a whole new light. The inspiration is a gentle breeze of warm air carrying vegetal notes as it rises from the canopy. This reworking of his 2007 fragrance Drama Nuuï emphasises jasmine wood with green, airy top notes that flow from a powdery bed of tonka and vanilla.
