A cypress tree on the Mediterranean, the sea, the night.
With the spicy, woody composition ‘Rivages Noirs’ (black beaches), Pierre Guillaume invites us to sip a single malt whisky on the deck of a boat anchored somewhere off the Mediterranean coast – gently rocked by the waves on a calm summer night.
The warm, aromatic and stimulating scent of Mediterranean cypress completes the delicate whisky aroma.
Melon, ginger, cinnamon, saffron and cardamom create a bright opening for a woody, amber base coloured by cedar leaves tinged with a dash of vanilla and oak moss.
Croisière Collection
With the Croisière Collection, Pierre Guillaume opens a new chapter, leaving behind monothematic approaches – be it oud, tuberose or leather – and tackling, among other things, the least represented and most maligned genre of alternative perfumery: aquatic fragrances.
As a ‘seafaring collection,’ the line is naturally inspired by travel, but it also expresses Pierre Guillaume's need to start afresh, to zoom out. The raw material is no longer the focus of the theme, but rather the opportunity to tell a story. More than ever, the fragrances of Parfumerie Générale concentrate on their expressiveness.
Far from simply stringing together salty-smelling molecules, the Croisière Collection explores the vastness of space, untamed wilderness and remote landscapes waiting to be discovered. It celebrates the sea, distant islands, the jungle and, above all, movement.
By choosing this theme, Pierre Guillaume invites us to take a fresh look at a fragrance family through the lens of independent perfumery. Aquatic scents become oriental, chypre fragrances become relaxed, and leather – dressed up with chrome – becomes a vehicle for freedom.
